Electrical installation, utility supply and backup power involve different responsibilities. Start with the issue you need resolved.

Identify whether the issue concerns supply or your installation

People searching for an “electricity company in Western Uganda” may be looking for very different help. A billing query, a damaged utility line, wiring for a new home and a solar installation are separate matters. Identifying the requirement helps you contact the organisation that can address it.

CCK Power Solutions is an electrical services company based in Mbarara. We support installation, power systems, equipment supply and maintenance. We do not issue utility electricity bills or control public-grid outages.

Contact the utility for account and network matters

Electricity accounts, metering, tariffs, public-network faults and utility connection processes should be directed to the relevant distribution provider. Confirm the provider for your location through your account information and official channels. UEDCL publishes service-territory, customer-service and outage information on its website.

For fallen conductors or damaged network equipment, keep away and report the hazard to the responsible utility. Do not approach a line or assume it is safe because the surrounding area has lost power. A building contractor cannot authorise work on a utility network.

Contact an electrical contractor for property works

An electrician or electrical contractor assesses building wiring, distribution boards, lighting, protection and alterations within an agreed installation scope. New buildings, renovations and additional equipment require a clear brief and coordination with the property owner and site team.

Uganda’s Electricity Regulatory Authority provides current information on installation permits. Ask who is responsible for the proposed work and verify the appropriate permit. For a development involving transformers or distribution connections, establish the boundary between contractor works and utility approvals before accepting a quotation.

Specify backup and equipment requirements separately

Solar panels, inverters, batteries and generators can support selected loads, but they require proper assessment and integration. A backup installation does not resolve a billing dispute or authorise a grid connection. It addresses an agreed operating requirement at your property.

Likewise, CCTV, fire alarms, air conditioning, machinery and pumps have their own equipment and installation needs. Bringing these services into one project brief helps the contractor consider electrical supply, routes, controls and maintenance together.

Send a useful enquiry

State your town or district, property type, the issue or project, and any existing equipment. Include available drawings and your intended programme. For a fault, describe what you observe without opening live equipment. Clear information makes it easier to establish the next step.

CCK serves Western Uganda and undertakes projects nationwide. Explore electrical installations, transformer and power-line works or solar and backup power. For account or public-network matters, use your utility’s official customer-service channels.
